What is max load of the Home Press? Using a floor scale I was able to push to a maximum load of 160 pounds - see video below. Knowing this capacity, the better question might be, "Can the Home Press help me build enough strength and power to stand?"
To answer this best, you need to consider your weight and whether or not you can perform single-leg exercises on the Home Press. Given you can perform exercise with one leg, and each leg can max out at 160 pounds, the combined load increases to 320 pounds (160 with each leg).
Factoring in body weight, if you weigh less than 320 pounds you should be able to work into enough power to help you build standing strength and power. If, however, you weigh more than 320 pounds, the Home Press may help get you started on the journey to stand, but another exercise may be needed to get you all the way there.
Whether you decide to invest in the Press or not, we wish you well on your road to recovery. Please give me a call if you have any questions - Shane 806-241-4264.
